Same Pace. A Better Life.
Two places. One unhurried outlook.
El Paso Lento begins in Prosper, Texas, where we are building our family life and doing our work. It follows us down the roads of North Texas and south to our finca near Montería, Colombia. Different landscapes, different rhythms, and plenty worth stopping for along the way.
This is a place for stories about food, family, travel, finca life, and the small discoveries that make an ordinary day more interesting. We like places with character, people with something to say, and meals worth putting the phone down for.
Why the donkey?
Paso lento means “slow step.” Our burro takes that seriously. He has a little dignity, a stubborn streak, and no particular interest in arriving first. He reminds us to look around before moving on. The sunglasses are his own editorial decision.
Prosper is home. Colombia is part of us.
North Texas is where our daily life happens, from work and family routines to the next local detour. Colombia brings another part of our story: warm evenings, finca roads, shared tables, and time with the people we love.
El Paso Lento brings those worlds together with curiosity and a sense of humor. We will share the stories as they happen. Merchandise can follow; the character comes first.
Take the long way.
You do not have to move to the countryside or abandon your calendar to enjoy a slower step. Sometimes it starts with a good meal, a different road home, or staying at the table a little longer.
